Maria Regina Principe, DPT
Assistant Director of Rehabilitation
Maria has been a licensed physical therapist since 2004, with over 15 years of experience in a variety of treatment settings including acute care in-patient, outpatient, skilled nursing and home care. She graduated high school as valedictorian and pursued a career in physical therapy; graduating with her bachelor of science in physical therapy in 2004 at De La Salle University-Health Sciences Campus in the Philippines and awarded “Best in Thesis!” Thereafter, she worked as a physical therapist volunteer in Philippine General Hospital and National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and ultimately a full-time physical therapist at the Daniel Mercado Medical Center. In 2007, she became a Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State and began working in an outpatient clinic in Scarsdale, NY. Her passion for helping others motivated her to advance her knowledge, receiving certifications in Biofeedback, A Comprehensive Manual Therapy Approach, Common Orthopedic Condition of the Elderly, Leadership Training, Public Speaking Seminar and more. Regina, as many will call her, graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. In 2017, she became part of The Grove health care team and advanced quickly to Assistant Director of Rehabilitation.
